The I AM list
September 17, 2009
Well, I’ve received more than a few comments about my talk from this past Tuesday night where we looked at Exodus 3 where God for the first time in scripture mentions his name. “I AM.” The idea for this talk actually came from a book written by Louie Giglio titled “I am not but I know I AM.”
In my talk, at the end, I went through a list of questions that are fairly interesting to think about when we answer them with “I AM.” These were tweaked from a list that Louie used. I’d love to say that I am that creative to come up with that stuff on my own but, all props should go to Louie. Anyways, people have been asking me for the list of questions so I thought I’d throw them up here. So here you go…..
I AM Questions
Who’s in control?
Who’s in charge?
Who’s leading this thing?
Who is gonna to show me the plan for my life.
Who’s going make sure the world here’s about Jesus?
Who’s going to make sure that truth prevails over evil?
If I bail, who is gonna go after the people I care about?
Who is in my corner?
Who is going to help me meet the insurmountable challenges that I’m facing right now?
Who could possibly be smart enough to figure all of this out?
I desperately need something fresh?
My friends all keep moving away. Who’s still around that knows me well?
No one’s giving me good leadership.
If I sell out for Jesus, who’s going to pay the bills?
Who’s pouring into me.
I think my friends deserve more.
Who’s gonna last?
I’ve given all I can but, it’s not enough.
Nobodies listening?
I’m going under. Will somebody help me?
Seems like the whole world’s a mess. Who can make sense of it all?
I need a friend.
I wish someone were here that would just love me for me.
