Classes.
It's a tough world out there. During your college years you are just beginning to learn what it takes to survive in a world that is not interested in pointing you towards Christ and in many ways is trying to turn you away from, or at the very least distract you from Him. There are a handful of core principles that we want you to hear and hopefully internalize from the time you come in as a freshman to the time you walk away with your degree.Once or twice a semester, the Classes Team will bring in quality speakers on topics relevant to you as a Christ-following, college-age person. These series will last for 2 to 5 weeks and will take place on the UW campus (locations may vary - stay tuned to our website and Facebook for the latest).
FAQ.
Who can come to classes?Classes are open to any college-aged student. Feel free to come alone or bring friends.
How do I know what the topic is?
The topic is always advertised on this website's front page and usually on Facebook.
What should I expect when I come to a class?
We tend to start the evening a little after the start time (aka a bit late!), so feel free to show up right at the scheduled time. The evening usually begins with CAM-related announcements. At times, we will have a short worship set before our speaker(s) begin(s) talking. Classes are usually over in between one to two hours, depending on the subject. Often, a group will head out for food after to hang out.
I can only make a couple of the classes in the series. Should I bother coming?
Yes! While we would love if you could come to every class, we understand that life gets in the way (gotta love exam week). Feel free to attend as many or as few classes as you would like.
